£170pp camping, £210pp chalet bungalow
(+£50 or +£70 b/h weekends)
This is an AWESOME weekend away and perfect whether you are looking to learn to surf, or are already a pro surfer.
This trip happens in a little place called Mawgan Porth which is just north of Newquay in Cornwall. A really beautiful part of the world. This weekend long surf trip is a great way to get out of the city and do something a bit different.
We stay on a cracking little campsite, but we stay in ‘chalet bungalows’ – the facilities are fairly basic, but there is a bar and we can bbq and just chill right out.
The sea at this time of year is at it’s warmest. The chalets we are staying in are heated and have hot showers.
…With bonfires, beautiful autumn days, a hallowe’en party and gallons of mulled Cheddar Valley cider – this is set to be the BEST surfing weekend of the year!!
Friday 6pm Climb aboard the h.o.f.n.a.r minibus at Clapham Junction station for the 5.5hr drive down to Mawgan Porth.
Saturday: Breakfast cooked up by your h.o.f.n.a.r rep before joining the gang from Kingsurf for your intro to surfing! Spend the afternoon honing your skills, chilling by the beach OR grab your helmet and let’s go coasteering! Dinner could be either a bbq at the campsite, local fish n’ chips from the local chippy or we could head over to Jamie Oliver’s celebrated ‘Fifteen’ restaurant. A few drinks back at the campsite….? or should we head into Newquay…?
Sunday: After another cracking true English fry up we head back to the water and we’ll definitely stand up on that board today…definitely? Leave in the afternoon to be back in London for 10 pm ish
